                                  Cellular Health

Our DNA is the nucleus of each cell.

When the nervous system is overstimulated, it creates metabolic stress within the body. Metabolic stress causes the immune system to become weakened, which will decrease the number of white blood cells in the body. Medical Qigong, mediation, shiitake mushrooms and Peony root in three forms known as Bai Shao, Chi Shao and Shao Yao, are all known to tonify the blood, which ultimately increases immunity.

IMPROVING VITALITY, BLOOD FLOW AND CELLULAR HEALTH

Do whatever you can to Increase cardiovascular exercise

  • Sprinting over running, increases endurance, fat burning, more muscle mass, increases hearth health and increases metabolism

  • Recumbent biking is easier on your lower back and knees than regular cycling and the stabilized larger seat has less impact to the groin

  • Walking daily - swinging your arms.  A rule of thumb in Traditional Chinese Medicine is; if you have a challenge below the waist work your legs, if you have a problem above the waist work your arms.

  • Stretching before and after exercising releases tension and opens the flow of blood

  • If you are physically impaired visualize physical activities while doing deep breathing exercises.

“I worked as a Qigong teacher in an active senior community for many years  and I noticed the seniors that walked everyday maintained their health, had better balance and cognitive abilities, including memory.  And they seemed happier because of it.”

IMPROVING VITALITY, BLOOD FLOW AND CELLULAR HEALTH

  • Decrease stress. You’ll be discovering several ways in this video that will help.

  • If you smoke, please decide to quit. Smoking can inhibit blood flow, destroy blood vessel walls, and cause plaque to accumulate in the veins, along with a host of other ill affects.

  • Hydrate; your blood is about half water. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces. I came up with a formula I call “5 easy gulps”, every time you pick up your water bottle try to get your 5 gulps to help get the volume you need. When the elderly transition into the next realm for no apparent reason, it’s usually from dehydration. If a flower doesn’t get the water it needs, how long will it last?    Our bodies emulate nature.

  • Eat real foods and skip processed foods whenever possible

  • Eat iron-rich foods  Especially if you are anemic, like spinach, legumes, and red meat (in moderation)

  • Include more omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. Salmon, Tuna, Flaxseeds, Chia Seeds and Walnuts

  • Drink green tea. “The antioxidants help to increase the width of the blood vessels so that your body can pump blood more easily
